Overall aim:
To train youth workers, youth leaders to prepare, run and evaluate the learning process within non – formal education in their youth work. To develop understanding of non – formal learning and education and its importance in the personal and professional development of young people with fewer opportunities they work with. To create a Resource pack with several useful, creative and innovative methods of non – formal education on active participation, peer education, personal development and involvement of young people with fewer opportunities which can support the work of youth workers with young people with fewer opportunities.
Objectives:
- To raise understanding and knowledge on personal and professional development of young people with fewer opportunities through non-formal education within youth work;
- To gain information and knowledge on YIA programme with special focus on A3.1 and A2 as tool of non – formal education;
- To raise awareness on leaning process within methods of non-formal education;
- To prepare, run and evaluate creative and innovative methods on active participation, peer education, personal development and involvement of young people with fewer opportunities which can support the work of youth workers with young people with fewer opportunities;
- To create and edit a Resource Pack on useful methods of non – formal education;
- To prepare common projects as international youth exchanges, trainings and EVS according to the proposals of YIA programme;
- To meet possible partners.
Who can participate in the training course?
- Age over 18 and there is no upper age limit;
- Youth workers, directly working with young people with fewer opportunities, having experience in non-formal education;
- Ready to take part in the whole training course;
- Have organizational support for further activities;
- To be able to communicate English language.

The Local Democracy Agency (LDA) Subotica is a local
non-governmental organisation working to foster Human Rights and local
democracy at a regional level in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina in
northern Serbia. On a national level the LDA Subotica co-operates with
municipalities across Serbia and maintains a closed collaboration with
the LDA for Central and Southern Serbia, in Niš. On an international
level the LDA Subotica stays in regular contact and profits of a
systematic co-operation with its partners from the network of the
Association of Local Democracy Agencies (ALDA).
Moreover, the LDA Subotica is actively involved in youth work through hosting and sending European Voluntary Services (EVS) volunteers, animating a group of young local volunteers and organising events, training and exchanges related to youth funded by the Youth In Action programme of the European Commission.
